Sony isn't going to price themselves out of the mainstream market.
Then we would've gotten a 600 dollar PS5. Complaining about the product not being advanced enough while wanting costs down. We can't have it both ways.
Our phones do what most PCs does... We're buying these for games, not to do our taxes.

They're already taking a loss on selling the Pro at $700. They have to take an extra $100 dollar loss because gamers feel entitled? This is an option, not a requirement.
To everyone complaining about the price, you can stick to regular PS5. A $550 Pro wouldn't show any difference. You can't expect them to sell at a big loss. This is an option. How are they being greedy?
It comes with a horizontal stand. How many of you use vertical instead of horizontal?
People comparing this to PS3 are deluded. This is just an option. The regular PS5 is still the standard but if you want the EXTRA bells and whistles, you're gonna have to pay.
So what were they going to price the Pro at if Xbox was doing well? 550? We're they going to take a huge loss on a niche machine? Using Pro as a reason is low iq because it's a machine not for everyone, it's simply an option. If it's too expensive, just buy the regular PS5. Gamers are so entitled today.
Not to mention there's games on PS5 you're not going to get right away on PC.
Good luck having any of your actual friends play it. Not to mention there's no guarantee they'll have the same experience since hardware isn't guaranteed to be the same.
What did people want? A 550 Pro? It wouldn't be worth making. We already think the upgrade is too small as it is.
At 600 dollars, this machine wouldn't be worth making. Do we want upgrades or no? At least we know PS6 isn't coming for at least 4 years. It's going to be a while before specs that's a jump over the Pro is mass market price.
Sackboy is a blast with Co op. Don't sleep on that game. It's possible to like both.
Play fighting games. Can get in and get out. All competition and test of skills. I enjoy a good adventure game but the ones I choose are few and far between. Tekken 8, MK1, and Street Fighter 6 have been a great get away from long winded games.
Wish the Switch would stop selling already. Who doesn't have one at this point. It's been almost 8 years..

How is it not a good look? You get what you pay for. This is just an option. They're not phasing out the original PS5. You can thank the economy for why console prices haven't come down. It's affecting everyone. If Xbox was doing better, that doesn't mean Sony is going to take a 200 dollar loss on 700 dollars of components...
